31 Months - Quit Growing Logan!

So in the last month you had your third (THIRD!!) Christmas and I think you enjoyed it quite a bit. Maybe that's because you are still begging us to watch Mickey Mouse Once Upon a Christmas and Twice Upon a Christmas. Well that's ok, if you are still thinking about Santa I can still threaten that he is watching to see who is naughty or nice. You got the basketball hup you asked for and you like it, but I think your dad likes it more. He shoots baskets from the couch while you rebound for him.
Opening the basketball hoop.
Yes, Santa ran out of paper and had to use 2 kinds.
Don't judge the jolly old guy.
Playing "hups" at Grandma and Grandpa H's house Christmas morning.
You said some really funny things in the last month too. You went to Lin's with Grandma H. the day after Christmas and there was a Frosty the Snowman video on sale. You told her "If you buy that for me I'll pay you back later." I laughed when she told me the story and really have no idea where you heard that one since the only people I ever go shopping with is you and your sister and yeah, you guys don't have any money for me to borrow.
On Christmas Eve we were all at Grandma and Grandpa H.'s house and everyone was singing Jingle Bells trying to get you to sing it. In the middle of the song you stopped, looked at everyone and said "Oh. I should have brought my guitar." What guitar? Again, no clue where you got that from.
A few days before Christmas we put a Santa hat on Tess. You took one look at her and said "Oh hi, Santa. I'm so happy you came. . . I thought you'd be taller." Me and your dad about died laughing. Later we heard that phrase on one of your cartoons so we know where you got it but it was so funny.
You had fun at the Pollock family Christmas party too. Your Grandpa Veater dressed up as Santa and we all had a good laugh when he walked in and yelled to Quade. "Quade! Come sit on Grandpa's lap!" Luckily none of you kids caught on to what he had said but the adults all laughed pretty hard. I forgot my camera (of course) but I know there are a few pictures out there I need to find of you sitting on his lap. You were really good and not scared and even thanked Santa for the Mickey Mouse toy he gave you that night.
You are getting too tall. You can see over the counters, pull the toothbrushes out of the holder in the bathroom, and even reach the Wii remotes on top of the entertainment center. Our options for places to put things so you can't get them are getting fewer and fewer so you either need to quit growing for a while or quit getting into stuff! I doubt either will happen anytime soon so your dad and I may need to invest in some shelves dedicated specifically to that purpose.
You are a good helper in the kitchen and when you know I am cooking dinner or baking something you climb up on your chair on the other side of the island and say "Can I watch you mama? Can I watch you? Can I watch you mama? Mama, can I watch you?" (Yeah, repeat mode is still in full force.) The other day I let you help me make cookies and here you are mixing the salt, baking soda and flour together. You didn't even get that much out of the bowl I was impressed!

You are so fun right now and so much work at the same time, but there is no doubt about it - you are also the sweetest boy we know.

Love you bud,

Mama.

He looks so big in those pictures. It must have happened overnight because he wasn't that big when he spent the night last week. He is a good kid. I love that boy.

I agree, he does look so big! It seems like I haven't seen him forever when really it's only been a few weeks! I love that he wants to watch you cook/bake. He really is a good helper, and definitely is the sweetest boy ever. Love you Logan!

I cannot believe how big he is! I only see him through your blog of course, but he's like...a big boy now! I still think of him as a toddler I guess. He's hillarious!

p.s. I love that he watches Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas every day because Brielle does too!
