You are the king of indecision. Here's a conversation we had about a week ago around lunchtime.
Me: Are you hungry?
You: No.
(30 seconds later)
You: I'm hungry.
Me: What do you want?
You: A cheese-n-sandwich. (A cheese sandwich, but you say it so cute.)
Me: Ok.
(I start to make the sandwich after just putting away all the stuff since you told me you didn't want one)
You: NO!!! Don't put cheese on my butter bread!
Me: Ok!
You: I just want a butter bread.....with cheese on it.
Sometimes it's cute, sometimes it is INCREDIBLY aggravating.
And more things you say that are so stinking cute:
Pretember instead of remember. "Pretember mom? Don't you pretember??"
Ponsatime, as in "Ponsatime there was a boy who had a dragon...." It's how you start your stories instead of "Once upon a time" and so freaking adorable.
"Let the storm rage on! You never bothered me anyway. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen." Your version of the song "Let It Go" from Frozen. It's the best when you get your hands involved in the singing too.
"Heavenly Father, bless the things, Jesus Christ, amen." You've recently gotten interested in saying the family prayer. Every time. And this is what you say EVERY. TIME.
Ok, so on to the pictures for this month. Don't mind that in a good amount of them you are only wearing underwear. Let's be glad you've got that much on, eh?
This is actually from earlier this summer when Miss Molly watched you and Tess for the afternoon when I took Logan and his friends to the pool. She, like everyone else, thought you were such a hoot.
We've gone to a couple parades. At the Kanab parade we were kind of stuck behind the rows of chairs people put out like 3 days before the parade, but lucky for you you made friends with an older lady who helped you get candy and kept you from getting smooshed.
Then dad picked you up off the side of the road and let you drive the water tender.
And at the 24th of July parade in Panguitch you picked up tons of candy and popsicles...
and then Grandpa picked you up and let you drive the John Deere
We went to the Fish Lake Cabin with grandpa and grandma Hillier
and showed them how fun it is to potty train a boy.
(and while we're at it with the bum pictures...)
We had fun at the Hatch reunion where you and Logan matched in your "easy for mom to find you" shirts.
And you totally smoked the other kids in the 2 and under age group race (I can't remember now if you had any competition. I don't see any!)
Then you decided you had so much luck in your race you would try your luck in the races for all the other age groups too.
You took a break from racing to take a swim while looking like a rock star.
And you won this fun blanket at the raffle. You drove around with it on your head on your bike pretty much the entire raffle and had everyone laughing.
Light parade flash on....
and flash off...
And you've had lots of fun playing the big cousin to Keston
and Baby Brody.
We've had lots of fun in the water on the kayaks ("Who's holding the rope?")
at the pool....
at the creek...
and in the puddle in the driveway...
Admittedly, there has been lots of TV, but not enough that you've been able to figure out how Netflix works on the Wii.
and talking with your hands.
And blurry/crazy pictures taken by your siblings.
I sound like a broken record, but the story is still the same. You can be so grumpy, but you can be so incredibly fun. I am so, so, so glad that you are in this family. You add so much fun, and I have said before that I wish everyone had the opportunity to know you. I love the fun moments I get just me and you when the big kids are off doing their thing, and even though I know I'm spoiling you I can't help it.
I love you kiddo,
Mom
