My Favorite Guy

So I've been waiting to blog about our good news until it was officially official and since the letter we have been waiting for is sitting on the computer desk next to me I figured now would be the time. . .
DAVE GOT A PERMANENT ENGINE ASSISTANT JOB!

We are really excited - this is something we have been waiting for for so long and it was so surreal the day he stopped by my office to tell me. It is on the North Kaibab National Forest which is here, in the northern part of Arizona. His station will be at Big Spring, but Jacob Lake is not far away and there is another station there too. Most of the permanents down there live in Kanab and drive every day so we will probably still live in Utah but there are lots of decisions to make. I don't know when I'll be quitting my job but I love my OB so much I'm not too willing to leave Cedar until I have the baby.

We also have lots of decisions to make about the house here in Enoch, we are getting some money from our taxes to fix it up a little bit and we are hoping to rent it or sell it so if anyone knows anyone who is looking for a great little house on 1/2 an acre let us know! Or if anyone wants to share their love/knowledge of roofing/siding a house that'd be great too!

I wanted to post a couple pictures of Dave in all his firefighting glory. I am so excited for him - it will be a totally different world for him since he has not been based on a forest other than the Dixie since he started almost 10 years ago! Logan and I are proud of him and are excited to start a new adventure no matter how crazy it gets the next little bit...

Well hello handsome... ;)
